Desert Feet Tours

The Desert Feet Tours have run since 2008 bringing music concerts and workshops to remote indigenous communities in Western Australia.

2011 Desert Feet Tour

2011 saw Desert Feet become a single entity and grow to 3 tours during the year, the east Pilbra tour in April/May, the western desert / west Pilbra tour in July and the annual Kimberly tour. The tour built on understanding and experience from previous years and delivered even more exciting workshops and concerts into remote communities. A major difference on all three 2011 tours was the inclusion of sound engineer Ewan who not only mixed the concerts, but also recorded any local indigenous bands in the communities. Ewan (known as the Mong) also performed a set of original songs during the concert. As a result each community ended up with songs written by the children and CD's of their local bands and musical talent. Some of the bands we recorded were excellent musicians however had not had the chance previously to record.

2010 Desert Feet Tour

The 2010 Desert Feet Tour ran new workshops designed to demonstrate the process of creating a song from scratch. After some tweaking, this program became an educational session designed to add value to workshops in previous years.

2009 Desert Feet Tour

The second Desert Feet Tour built on the previous years inaugural year extending the program to a greater audience.

2008 Love Angel Desert Feet Tour

The first Desert Feet Tour called the Love Angel Tour was a resounding success which led to the planning of further tours in the following years.
